Simon Street MBChB DRCOG MClSc FRCGP
Now retired from clinical practice, Simon was a full time GP and senior partner at Kidlington Health Centre in Oxford.
For a decade he was the visiting GP at the Ley Community.
Trained in Birmingham and Oxford he went on to a masters’ programme in Family Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. Simon worked in clinical assessment and certification at national and regional levels and was an associate dean in the Oxford GP training scheme.
In retirement he has worked as a medical reviewer for the Police and Prisons Ombudsman. He is currently the chair of the board of the Ley Community. He plays bass trombone in a big band.
He has many years’ experience supporting charities in Scotland in a variety of roles. He has been actively involved with the Venture Trust and Chance for Change, for many years Chaired the Edinburgh Branch of SASO (Scottish Association for the Study of Offenders) and is currently working with Families Outside and Howard League Scotland. David is Chair of the Phoenix Scotland Board.
