Community Services
We provide free, confidential support for people at all stages of their recovery journey. Our local teams work alongside you to understand your goals and offer personalised help, including:
- One-to-one key working
- Group programmes focused on well-being, relapse prevention, and recovery skills.
- Access to medical support, including substitute prescribing and detox
- Mental health and trauma-informed care
- Harm reduction services, including naloxone
- Peer support and recovery mentoring
Justice System
We work alongside partners across Essex to support people in or leaving the criminal justice system who are affected by drug or alcohol use. We help people make positive changes, reduce reoffending, and build happy, healthy lives.
We offer Tailored Recovery Support.
- Structured one-to-one sessions and group work
- Substance use recovery programmes
- Relapse prevention and harm reduction
- Trauma-informed and psychologically informed care
- Fast-tracked access to prescribing and detox services where needed
- Support with housing and accommodation
- Help accessing education, training and employment
- Advocacy with services like housing teams, DWP, and local authorities
- Support to rebuild family relationships and community connections
Support for Families and Loved Ones
We provide support for families and loved ones through a range of Specialist family support, which includes
- Help for partners, children, and carers
- Guidance on how to cope, communicate, and support a loved one
- Group spaces for family members to share experiences and find support
Housing support
We know having a safe and stable place to live is crucial to a happy and healthy life. In Essex, our HoSTS service offers housing and tenancy support for people engaged with services. The service aims to help people maintain their tenancy and establish permanent homes through intensive and individualised support.
Specialist support
Phoenix Futures offers a range of specialist services across Essex for people with extra or specific support needs related to substance use. These services are designed to provide additional layers of support where standard treatment may not be enough.
Our specialist services focus on working with underrepresented communities in standard treatment services. This includes our
- Enhanced Support and Access Team (ESAT) which offers support to the Gypsy, Roma and Travaller Communities
- DASS - Drugs and Alcohol Street Support
