George Waddell

George has held a wide range of roles in addiction and mental health over the last 33 years. He worked in managerial posts for Phoenix Futures from 2002 -2012. George is currently the Services Manager for Acumen in Argyll and Bute, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, and Inverclyde representing lived experience of Mental Health. He is a Director of Argyll and Bute Citizen Advice Bureau, and was recently made the Vice Chair and Director for The East Renfrewshire Mental Health Forum.

George values diversity, continually promoting anti-discriminatory practice and challenging stigma in both services and local communities.
